Star

Star was our other beautiful horse, last night while out on a ride at the arena he broke his leg and had be put down. I don't know how we can lose two healthy horses in less that two weeks but Paul and Trisity are equally devastated with this second loss. We loved Star and he was a really good horse, so kind and gentle and still suffering from losing his friend Georgeous. Gorgeous was Tristy's horse and Star was Grandpa, Rylee and Brynnly's horse. Rylee was so sad and crying on the phone last night when she learned of the Star's accident. It hurts to see my family's hearts so broken by the loss of a loved pet. I hope they will heal soon and remember the good life they provide for these animals and the love they got back.

Gorgeous

Trisity's beautiful horse Gorgeous died from colic on September 8th. She was a wonderful horse and Trisity's best friend. They had a fantastic summer together this year competing in the events with the 7-11 riding club, they worked together every day and Gorgeous was in the best shape ever. Gorgeous gave Trisity everything she had to run the barrels and all the other events, Gorgeous was very happy to work so hard and Trisity was very proud of her. It has been a very difficult few days for our family and especially Trisity. We want to thank all of our friends and neighbors for the help, concern and support during this time. Horses for Paul and Trisity are not farm animals but very close pets and companions and losing one is very devastating. We will always have a special place in our hearts for this great horse.

Trisity's Region Show

We spent the past weekend in Price, Utah watching Trisity compete in the Region Show. She did really well and had lots of fun. We spent the whole time sitting in the stands at the scenic Carbon County Fairgrounds in the 102 degree heat. It was very interesting and we did have fun. She really like to ride and is very good.

Bear Lake 2009

Our annual Bear Lake trip was lots of fun. Brynnly and Rylee loved the sand and water, and everybody loved going out on the boat. Our condo was really nice and everybody had a good time. We went out on the lake and Robby, Sherri, Jeff, Chelsea, Danny and Trisity worked on their wake boarding skills and Trevor was enjoying the knee board. The lake was beautiful and the weather was really nice. We went swimming in the pool every night and lots of really good food.

I guess the worst that happened was Dad spent most of the week with a really bad tooth ache, on Wednesday we had a weird wind burst and it ruined three out of four of our shades and one time the boat almost rolled away in the parking lot with the girls in it but other than that we a great time. But hey, that's good times that everyone will remember.

I love my family and my very best times are any time we are all together. Now I can't wait until next year.

Blackhawk 2009

This week we went on our annual family camping trip to Blackhawk. When we first arrived at our camp spot it was a swamp. The camp hosts told us that this was the wettest June they have ever had and it had rained for nine days straight. Not wanting to break the rainy streak it rained for another day.

This is a picture of Devery trying to make tin foil dinners in the rain. We ended up cooking some of them in the oven but everyone was starving and thought they were great.
Brynnly and Rylee had lots of fun, Brynnly loved her first camping trip. We all had fun but I am really grateful for running water and a washer and dryer.

Trisity's 1st Barrel Race

Trisity has always loved horses and everything to do with them. Her latest passion is barrel racing, she has been training for past several months and today was her 1st competition. She did really well and had lot's of fun. Brynnly is her greatest fan and loves to ride with her. I guess this is how I will be spending my summer!

I LOVE SPRING

Spring is finally here and I am so excited!! I love the beautiful tulips and we had the fun of having a nest of baby birds in the front yard. The first baby fell out and died and we were all so sad, the mother bird just sat in the nest for days and I thought she was going to die herself from the loss. But then three new babies hatched and they were so cute. They quickly grew up and now have all left but it was so cute while it lasted. It made me think of my life as a mother and how quickly our families grow up and leave the safety of our nests.

Mother's Day

I had the best Mother's Day ever, the girl's planned dinner and everything and everybody was there. We had a picnic at the park, the weather was nice and then we played our O'Bray version of softball. It was perfect. Thanks kids, you are the best.

Easter

I forgot how fun it was to watch the kids dye eggs. Brynnly really was excited to color the eggs and crack them on Grandpa's head. She wasn't very interested in eating them. She liked the chocolate eggs the best.

WINTER FUN

Here are more fun pictures of our trip, I love my family time, it's what I live for!!!

Snowmobiling at Beaver Creek Lodge

This year we went snowmobiling up Logan Canyon to the Beaver Creek Lodge. It is beautiful up there. They had quite a lot of snow and even more after we arrived. The second day it was -4 degrees and didn't warm up very much but the third day it was snowy and warmer. We had the entire lodge to ourselves for the first two nights and then just 4 more people came for the last night. We had lots of fun with the snowmobiles and we also just played in the snow and went tubing. Some people just enjoyed resting and playing games. We had our own chefs Gerald & Vivian and they waited on us and we felt very pampered, the other employees were really friendly and nice, and very concerned with our comforts. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

2009

Happy New Year !!!
We are looking forward to a new year with lot's of new things. Last year was pretty good, but we had our up's and down's, as did everyone but I feel really lucky. We are a crazy family but I love each and everyone of them. Each one adds a lot of interesting things to our family. We have been very fortunate to have such family support and closeness. Each one of my kids are very loyal to us and I know when the world seems against me that my family is there to love and help out.

Family is what it's all about in life and I feel sorry for anyone that doesn't know that. I am looking forward to lots of fun and lots of pictures to share.
